General Hospital blog - April, 2025

April 1st, 2025

On the hospital's 62nd anniversary, Laura hosts the opening of a cardiac care center named for Monica and anonymously funded by Sonny. The episode is full of people talking about how much the hospital means to them and how great Monica is. Lucy tells Sidwell all about the Nurses' Ball and how important HIV research is to her personally. He offers to fully fund the next ball, which pretty much only Lucy is happy about.

They must have taped this out of order, because there was no mention of any of the current plotlines.

Would've been nice if Jason had shown up at the opening of the cardiac care center named for his mother and funded by his best friend. Also would've been nice if more than two Quartermaines had shown up.

I can't believe the only flashbacks were of Lucy's Nurses' Ball outfits. Bleh.

Speaking of which, we don't need another ball. Really. We can be done with those.

Anna thinks that Turner is targeting Emma because she has a problem with Anna. Turner informs her that Emma's arrest record includes a bust for something so bad at a campus animal lab that her college sealed the records so it wouldn't get out. Gio's upset that Emma put herself in a position where she might get in legal trouble when she already has a record. Emma's fine with it and seems to expect minor consequences, judging from her shock when Turner asks her judge to deny bail. Tracy steps in and argues that since Monica had already worked things out with the land trust by the time Emma was arrested, Emma shouldn't be punished for anything. Even Turner admits that there isn't much of a case, but since Emma violated a court order, the judge wants some kind of punishment. After confirming that she can do some community service and be done with all this, Emma changes her plea to guilty and avoids jail time. Anna asks about her campus-lab arrest, but Emma can't tell her anything, since she signed an NDA. Jason bugs Lucas to bug Carly about being with Brennan, still not getting that no matter how many people get on her case, she won't listen to anyone. Diane points out that Carly's been making bad decisions for decades, so she's not sure why this is the inevitably disastrous relationship Jason's freaking out about. Jason tells her that he's always been able to protect Carly because he knows how the mob world works, but the spy world is foreign to him and he doesn't know what kind of threats she could be facing. Carly and Brennan are all rainbows and puppies until Brennan gets a text and pulls Sonny aside for a conversation. Carly figures they're talking about her, because why wouldn't they be, but they're actually talking about the death of the bomber. Brennan tells Sonny a little of the guy's history, which Sonny thinks is pointing toward a connection to Sidwell. Sidwell's currently fighting with Natalia, who doesn't like that he's winning over her Deception co-workers and convinced them to do business with him. Whatever happened between the two of them, he blames her for the end of their marriage and family, and he's not thrilled to have to associate with her again. Sasha's also causing Sidwell problems, threatening to expose him to everyone at Deception if she can't convince her that he won't get them involved in something illegal. Diane interviews Marco for a job, pleased with the clientele he would bring to her and Alexis' firm, especially one client in particular who I'm 99 percent sure is Sidwell. Marco spots a photo of Lucas on Alexis' desk (just go with it), realizes that they're in the same town, and invites him to get a drink. Ezra interrupts while Laura's having lunch with Sonny and cautions her that her constituents won't like them flaunting their friendship. Sonny agrees that he's not good for Laura's political career, but Laura despises Ezra and would probably do the opposite of anything he approved of, so she's certainly not going to change her relationships because of him. Jason wants to alter his will to include Sasha and Michael's baby.

If Natalia doesn't want Deception to do business with Sidwell, why isn't she doing more to torpedo the deal? Why not alert Sonny so he can threaten to revoke his investment?

Not that I want to encourage Jason to spend time with Anna, but she's a source he could consult for information about how the spy world operates. That said...stop it, Jason. You're being annoying.

Of all the pictures of Sam that Alexis could have on her desk, she chose one with Lucas in it? OKAY.

Laura's been mayor for years and has never hidden her friendship with Sonny. Why would people care more now?

April 3rd, 2025

Sonny tries to gauge if there's a connection between Sidwell and the bomber, but there isn't much to go on. Sidwell swears that he didn't try to kill Sonny and in fact wants him around because he keeps the peace in town, which will help Sidwell run his business there. After Sonny leaves, Natalia threatens to expose Sidwell to him and to her Deception co-workers, but he notes that she would be taking herself down with him, after keeping their connection a secret for so long. Marco comes by, and though he's expecting to see his father (Sidwell), he's surprised to see his mother (Natalia). Carly expects Brennan to lie and keep secrets about his work, as if she hasn't dealt with that from Jason and Sonny for 30 years. Brennan promises to be as open with her as he can and never manipulate her (though I'd like to note that he never says he won't lie). Then he goes to check on Josslyn's process at her top-secret training. Vaughn thinks she's ready to graduate, and he hopes that means he's done training recruits, because he wants to get back in the field. Brennan tells him that after some unspecified situation in Romania, that's not happening anytime soon. Josslyn's already suspicious enough of Vaughn, who she caught receiving a hand-off from someone in a café, and she rats him out to Brennan. Kai goes to Curtis for advice about whether or not to accept Drew's offer about surgery. Curtis sends him to Portia instead, then tells Drew to stop using Kai. Portia isn't any happier about the situation, but that's partly because Drew just yelled at her about not doing enough to stop Curtis from making him look bad. Now he wants Portia to report to him anything Curtis has planned that might negatively affect him. Portia's also annoyed because she's just gotten Brad to admit that he told Selina about her crimes, which is how Drew learned about them. Portia's ready to fire Brad, but she backs down when she realizes that now she can get him to do whatever she wants. Lucas and Marco catch up, though Lucas does most of the talking and notes that Marco hasn't told him much about himself. They're into each other, though, so this definitely won't be the last conversation they have. Sasha is just now realizing that keeping up the illusion that Jason is the baby's father is going to take more work than she thought it would. Turner tries to get information about Emma out of Trina, who not only doesn't know anything but wouldn't tell her if she did. Turner says that she thinks Anna's using her position of power to shield Emma. Trina's like, "Hmm, seems like a you problem" and ditches her. Turner then questions the optics of Sonny's friendships with Laura and Anna, though it's not clear where she's going with that. Sonny gets away from her almost as fast as Trina did.

Marco being Natalia's son would have been a good surprise if Eva LaRue hadn't spoiled it on social media two weeks ago. Also, LOL, both of Natalia's kids are gay.

Sounds like Carly can't trust Brennan to be completely honest with her. They're off to a great start!

If Portia thinks it's better to spy on Curtis for Drew than tell Curtis about the blackmail, she deserves to have him divorce her.

I loved Carly being all "Lucas, who was that guy? Who was that cute guy you were talking to, Lucas?" like a typical sister.

April 4th, 2025

Kristina's freaking out about Ric's condition, but all she can do is pray that he doesn't die. God comes through and Ric wakes up, but while Molly and Alexis get to feel relief about his recovery, Kristina continues freaking out about the possibility that someone will discover what she did. That's probably going to happen pretty quickly, as Ric tells Ava that the car accident was the result of faulty brakes, and a mechanic informs her that they were deliberately cut. Vaughn insists that Josslyn's story about what she saw in the café isn't accurate. Brennan leans toward believing Vaughn, and he gives Josslyn the chance to back down. She sticks to her story and is rewarded with the revelation that Vaughn accepted the hand-off of a SIM card. She's also rewarded with praise, as the whole thing was a test of her observation skills and loyalty to the WSB. Brennan sends her out on her first mission, which will take place in Port Charles, and assigns Vaughn to be her backup. Jason tells Carly his fears about her relationship with Brennan and how much it would hurt him if something happened to her, especially now that Sam is dead. Carly doesn't want her new relationship to harm her longest friendship, but she's not going to give up Brennan just because Jason thinks she should. Jason blinks first, promising to stay out of Carly's romantic life because he'd rather disapprove than lose her. Drew and Curtis fight about Kai and who's manipulating him and using him against the other. Jordan, who got volunteered by Laura to help Lucy with the ball, takes advantage of their rivalry to get them both to agree to perform. Lucky tries to get Elizabeth to stop being stubborn about her independence and accept help while she recovers. Then he finally gets around to asking Kristina about that whole thing where she cut someone's brake lines and almost killed his girlfriend. Trina tries to get through to Kai that Drew's offer is too good to be true, not to mention a situation where he goes through a lot of pain and struggle only to end up not getting what he wants. They set that aside for a makeout session, but Lucy interrupts because we're not allowed to have anything nice.

I can't believe Kristina hasn't told Sonny what she did yet.

I'll admit to cackling when Ric woke up saying Elizabeth's name.

How is Josslyn supposed to trust Vaughn or Brennan after that test? Why would she want to work for people who lied to her face and tried to make her doubt herself?

I assume Josslyn's story for why Vaughn's hanging around will be that they're dating.

Lucky asking Deanna if she brought enough medication for everyone would have been funnier if he didn't have a history of addiction.

Jason is the most important person in Carly's life? She knows she has kids, right? Even Ric said his child was the most important person in his life! Ric!

If they want us to be excited about the ball, they'd have the characters be a little more interested in performing. This all feels like the show thinks it needs to fulfill some obligation.

April 7th, 2025

Lucky makes Kristina confess the full extent of her crime, then tells her that if she doesn't turn herself in, he will. She successfully talks him town by reminding him that her family has been through a lot over the past year and wouldn't survive losing her. With news from the mechanic that Ric's car has been crushed, Lucky likely thinks that this will be an easy secret to keep. But Ava has done a little digging, and she and Ric are easily able to put together that someone tried to kill her. Security footage from the parking garage confirms their suspicion that it was Kristina. Ric immediately wants to call the police, but Ava has a different idea. Josslyn interrogates Carly about her relationship with Brennan and whether her life is at risk with him. Of course, Carly doesn't care about whether or not she approves. Brennan shows up and Josslyn gets to tear into him in front of Carly and Jason. He compliments her on her performance and she's like, "Yeah. 'Performance.'" Kristina emotionally apologizes to Molly, pretending it's because she's just now realizing that Molly also lost Irene (actually, that might be a legitimate realization) and Sam and not because she almost killed Molly's father. Molly and Alexis are just happy that the Davis women are strong again. Brennan warns Anna that Turner requested all the WSB's files on her. When confronted, Turner straight out admits that she's moving against Anna because she doesn't like her friendships with criminals. Jason offers to let Anna dig up dirt on him to save her job, but she'd rather keep collaborating with him, just in secret from now on. Kai agrees to do something at the ball, but Trina isn't sure she's ready to perform again. Kai talks her into letting herself enjoy something she's always liked to do. Elizabeth barely keeps herself from laughing at Ava when she comes by to discuss the accident and throws out there that she and Ric are a little more than friends. Lucas asks if she's jealous, and Elizabeth says no, though she acknowledges that Ric has a nice side that most people don't see. Then she indicates that if he only had that nice side, she might get back together with him, which is INSANE. Lucy can't get Elizabeth to commit to a performance at the ball, but Lucas steps up and agrees to help out. Lucy promises not to make him perform, a promise she's never going to keep.

God bless Lucky for refusing to let Kristina make any excuses for the fact that she tried to murder someone.

I'm surprised Ric's first thought after confirming that Kristina was in the garage was that busting her would harm her relationship with Molly. It's not like he's cared about that much recently.

Josslyn's living the dream – she gets to trash her boss right in front of him and pretend it's part of her cover.

I know nothing about Easter Island. Did Jason ask Josslyn a legitimate question or did he trick her into exposing herself as a liar?

"You arrested Morgan and then nothing came of it." I believe it's your job as a prosecutor to find evidence against a defendant, so that sounds like a you problem.

Okay, Jason, there's friendship and then there's saying, "If you want to save your job, I'll let you bring a case against me."

Lucas' face when Ava said that she and Ric have gotten close cracked me up.

April 8th, 2025

Kristina takes Elizabeth flowers and considers confessing everything to her. Lucky catches her and tells her that if she wants to come clean, he's fine with it, but she can't start by putting her guilt on Elizabeth. Kristina changes her mind and sticks to her plan to keep quiet so her family doesn't suffer from the consequences. In that case, Lucky thinks she'll be off the hook since they're the only two people who know what she did. Speaking of that, Ava has decided to use what she and Ric know about Kristina to blackmail Alexis into giving her Cassadine hush money. Ric isn't happy about the fact that Kristina will once again get away with something, but I think he gets that he's not going to talk Ava out of something she's so gleeful about. While he lies to Elizabeth about what he does and doesn't remember from the accident, Ava goes to see Alexis. Lulu admits to Cody that she tricked him into confirming that Dante and Brook had a fling as teens. Dante overhears, so Lulu calls him out on lying to her for years about not having sex with Brook. Now she's not sure if she can trust him. At first Dante tries to argue that it's not a big deal because the fling didn't lead to anything, but he eventually apologizes and the two smooth things over. It'll take a little more work for Lulu to smooth things over with Cody, though, because he's not happy that she's been telling different stories to different people, and he thinks she's coming off as a con artist. Lois returns and has the world's most awkward reunion with Brook, who's still not ready to address the fact that Lois and Gloria lied to her for 21 years. Olivia offers to mediate for them, but of course that's not possible considering her connection to the secret they're keeping. Chase tells Brook that if she's going to continue to keep her secrets, she'll need to find a way to interact with her mother that doesn't raise any suspicions. Brook decides to get started on working things out with Lois, but her timing is horrible, because Lois is currently talking to Dante. Alexis takes a turn interviewing Marco and asks totally hypothetical questions to gauge whether he would be okay defending a career criminal. He would, but only if the person's crimes didn't rise to a point where they interfered with Marco's personal beliefs.

Of course Kristina would think that taking someone she almost killed flowers is a reasonable response.

Admittedly, Lulu's being annoying about all this, but Dante's attitude that he kept something unimportant from her is totally off. He didn't keep a secret – he straight out lied to her years ago. And he doesn't get to chastise her for overreacting to his connection to an ex. Remember his actions when Lulu and Dillon reconnected?

"Is it just me or have things calmed down around here?" Way to jinx it, Chase.

"There's a lotta people in this house." I know, right?

Someday, I'll stop saying, "Polo" every time someone says Marco's name. But not today.

April 9th, 2025

Ava informs Alexis that Kristina was responsible for the car crash because she was trying to kill Ava. The security footage from the parking garage doesn't actually show Kristina cutting the brake lines, and there's no proof that the brakes were cut anyway, so Alexis doesn't take her seriously, even when Ava lies that she moved Ric's car to a safe location. Alexis invites her to take her theory to the police, expecting that they won't be able to build a case against Kristina. Instead, Ava gives Alexis until 9:00 the next morning to get her money or Ava will tell Molly that Kristina almost killed her father. Brook wants to reveal her secrets to her loved ones because she hates keeping them in the dark, but she knows that a lot of them would be mad at Lois. She's much more understanding now of why Lois told Gloria about the baby – she needed guidance from her mother just like Brook did at the time. Lois tells Brook that she'll be on board if Brook decides to come clean about the baby, but Brook decides that that would do more harm than good. Isaiah's already over the whole sneaking-around-with-Jordan thing, while she's just getting started. She's also making headway, as Sidwell offers her a job. She turns him down, but she's pleased with the way things are unfolding. Marco tells Natalia that he's probably moving to Port Charles, but that doesn't mean he wants to spend any time with her. She still disapproves of his decision to become a lawyer instead of a musician, and she blames Sidwell for pushing him towards the law so he could benefit from his son's profession. Marco hasn't gotten past the fact that when he came out to his mother, she tried to send him back to the closet. He's definitely not afraid to be himself publicly, as he arranges another date with Lucas. Sonny spots Sidwell and Natalia talking and asks her what their deal is. Lulu confides to Cody that she's still in love with Dante. She wants to tell Dante, but Cody advises her not to, since he's still grieving Sam. He reminds her that things won't be like they are forever, so she just needs to wait a while before saying anything. Curtis warns Laura that Ezra is going write an op-ed about her friendship with Sonny. Laura brushes that off, but Curtis thinks the issue of the location of the esplanade will prove damaging. He suggests that she let the citizens vote on where it will be located. Kristina invites Dante to join her at lunch with Sonny so she can make Sonny tell him about his heart condition.

Nice bluff saying you still have Ric's car, Ava. That's probably going to come back to bite you, though.

"How much longer do we have to hide?" Isaiah, buddy, it's been two days. This is going to go on for at least a month.

So Natalia has had inappropriate responses to BOTH of her children coming out? Get her off my show.

Natalia's reaction to Marco coming out makes Blaze's hesitance to come out even more understandable.

Has Laura even asked Sonny if he would be willing to give up waterfront property, maybe in exchange for different waterfront property? Is he aware that city officials are discussing seizing his property? This whole thing is dumb. This isn't a good soap story! No soap story should contain the phrase "eminent domain"!

April 10th, 2025

Willow starts to move into Drew's house, which means Nina will have an even harder time peeling her daughter away from the guy who's basically her new cult leader. Nina does win a battle, if not the war, by convincing Willow to maintain the kids' relationship with Monica. Tracy learns about the move when guys show up at the mansion to take the kids' stuff to the house. She's just told Jason that he needs to be more involved in family issues, so Jason agrees to shut down the move. Sasha talks him out of it, advising him to let Drew and Willow think they've won so they'll be thrown off when Michael eventually returns and interferes. Tracy alerts Carly about Willow's move, surprising Carly, who didn't expect it to happen so soon. When she says she wants to go yell at Willow, Brennan cheers her on, apparently thinking that Willow will be intimidated by a show of force. Natalia confesses to Sonny that Sidwell is her ex and they have a child together. Sonny isn't sure he can trust her not to pass anything along to Sidwell that she shouldn't, though Natalia assures him that she wants nothing to do with Sidwell. Still, Sonny declares that their friendship needs to end. Jordan asks Laura to fire her so she has an excuse to accept Sidwell's job offer. They come up with a plan to have Jordan publicly disapprove of Laura's decision to hold a referendum about the esplanade because of her friendship with Sonny. Jordan's worried that it'll backfire on Laura and heighten the public's displeasure with her friendship with Sonny, but Laura figures that, thanks to Ezra, that's going to be a problem no matter what. Once she and Jordan are on the same page, she warns Sonny that he's about to be in the middle of a political firestorm. Josslyn plays it cool when Vaughn pops up in Port Charles and tells her he's her handler for her first big assignment. She still doesn't know anything about it, just that she's going to be enrolling in an environmental physics class. Emma and Josslyn seem to be making progress on their rivalry when Josslyn admires how Emma stepped up for the Quartermaines. But Emma confides to Gio that she's always felt like Josslyn is entitled and never has to deal with any consequences, something that Josslyn hasn't demonstrated has changed since they were kids. Plus, she's still Team Cameron in the big Josslyn/Cameron split, though she admits that if Cameron is over it, she should follow suit. Gio sees Emma's side of things but tells her that Josslyn's been through a lot since their childhood and seems to have changed. Emma will probably get to see that for herself, because she's in the class Josslyn's been assigned to take. Maxie and Lucy are both ready to make their business deal with Sidwell official, but Tracy's a holdout because of what Lulu told her Sidwell did to Lucky. Maxie wins Tracy over with some blah-blah about second chances. Brennan warns Sidwell that the bomber was found dead, which anyone Sonny considers an enemy should see as a warning.

How dumb do Drew and Willow think their kids are? I can see Amelia being a little confused about going back to the Quartermaines', but Scout and Wiley are old enough to understand what a visit is.

Oh, Brennan, no. We do not encourage Carly.

I love that Jordan gets to be involved in a big plotline. It's about time.

So is there any reason for Natalia to stay in town now? I say no.

They should have waited a few weeks and then had Josslyn and Emma take a summer course. There can't be more than a month left in the semester.

Sidwell is literally distracting Lucy with shiny objects.

"You know, Lucky is a Spencer. He's used to being kidnapped." Heh.

April 11th, 2025

Carly starts going off the rails when she says that Wiley isn't really Willow's child, then gets further off track when she decides that Willow is just like Nelle and has been the master manipulator all along. Willow accuses Carly of putting on an act as a concerned mother, which almost gets her slapped. Jason steps in, having been summoned by Nina, but he fails to drag Carly out of there before she can threaten to help Michael take the kids from Willow. Drew comes out a winner, looking like a hero with an added bonus of having Willow blurt out that she loves him. Nina's now stuck between the daughter and grandchildren she loves and a guy she hates. Desperate for advice, Alexis hires Diane as her lawyer, then tells her everything Kristina did. Diane's solution is to have Kristina committed, not so much because it could help her avoid prison time if her crimes ever get exposed, but because she clearly needs psychiatric help. Alexis is reluctant but ultimately decides it's a good plan. Now that Turner has given Anna Emma's sealed records, Emma can tell Anna what happened without violating her NDA. She confesses that she and some friends threw the party that she claimed got her kicked out so they would have an alibi when they broke into the school's labs. They got caught while they were freeing the animals used for testing, and Emma accidentally injured a security guard. Anna's upset that Emma seemingly doesn't understand how close she came to completely ruining her life, not to mention how she could have ended someone else's life. Emma promises that she's learned her lesson and carries what she did with her all the time. But she thinks she's like Anna, in that they both fight for what they believe in, and she's not going to stop being an activist. Portia instructs Brad to gather all of Drew's medical records from the ten years he's been in Port Charles. She's not sure what she's looking for, but she'll know it when she sees it. Kai has decided not to wait for Portia's opinion after all and move forward with the surgery. Trina's worried that he'll have his hopes crushed again, though it turns out that Portia thinks the surgery is a good option for him. Curtis and Trina are both concerned with Drew's involvement, while Kai believes that Drew's kind facade is the real deal. Curtis warns him that Drew's generosity will likely come with a cost that Kai may not be able to afford. Josslyn would like more details on her mission, but all Vaughn will say is that she needs to become her professor's research assistant. He cautions her not to think that her life hasn't changed much just because she's still a college student. Jason's sorry to hear that Sasha plans to move out of the Quartermaines' before the baby is born. She's surprised by that, since it's not like he's been big on the family for most of his adult life. He mostly likes them for what they can provide Danny, and he thinks Sasha's baby would benefit from growing up around them.

Carly saying that Wiley isn't really Willow's is not only gross and out-of-character, it lends Willow sympathy that she doesn't deserve.

Willow is nothing like Nelle. Nelle actually thought things through.

Way to contribute absolutely nothing, Nina. You're doing great.

Diane, please explain how having Kristina committed isn't just another instance of Alexis cleaning up her daugter's mess.

Anna and Alexis should swap Kristina and Emma. Alexis will teach Emma how to be an activist without getting in trouble, and Anna will make Kristina face the consequences of her actions.

Expelling Emma was a reasonable response, but it also draws attention to the fact that something major happened when all the school wants to do is cover it up. They could have just made her deal contingent on her voluntarily leaving the school.

"He's only been decent to me." Yeah, but if a dozen people are telling you that he's a bad guy, you can't just go off of what you've observed. (Pay attention, Willow.)

Imagine if Brad were the one to uncover whatever's wrong with Drew.

April 14th, 2025

Willow worries that Carly was right about her being like Nelle. Nina assures her that she's not, but she thinks Willow should negotiate with Carly so she doesn't have to worry about losing the kids. Drew shuts Nina down and promises Willow again that she doesn't need to worry about the kids because he has enough power to keep them with her. By the end of the episode, he has even more power, as Willow signs papers making him her kids' legal guardian if anything happens to her. Ric warns Ava that by giving Alexis time to consider her options, she actually gave Alexis time to come up with a way to save Kristina. Ava's confident that Alexis will opt to embezzle from the Cassadine estate rather than let Kristina go to prison, and she plans to double her demand so she and Ric can both benefit. She reveals that the car wasn't crushed after all, and she paid the mechanic to lie, so if the case does go to court, Kristina should be in a ton of trouble. Ric still doesn't love that Kristina will get away with attempted murder, but letting her walk is better than Molly having to face another crisis. Ava thinks she can work things out so Ric never has to be tied to anything and Molly will never learn of his involvement. Alexis is tense all through an evening with Molly and Kristina, as she has Kristina's commitment papers burning a hole in her bag. Kristina has clearly learned her lesson and wants to let go of her desire for revenge, and she and Molly are doing so much better, so it's going to be hard for Alexis to disrupt everything. Carly frets to Brennan that she made things worse for Michael by not keeping her cool with Willow. Brennan thinks her behavior will actually benefit her, because she's reminded Drew and Willow that she'll do anything for her family. He predicts that Willow will play the damsel in distress, Drew will be her white knight, and he'll be so arrogant that he'll screw up something that Michael will be able take advantage of. Sonny isn't happy about the city's threats to his waterfront property or the idea of a referendum to let the citizens decide where the esplanade should be. He and Laura take a break from disagreeing about it to help Rocco with debate prep, and Sonny comes away reminded of how important family is. Now he's okay with the referendum, especially when Laura admits that she supports it because the decision will be out of her hands. Trina's frustrated that Portia can't tell her anything about her opinion on the surgery Kai's pursuing, thanks to confidentiality. Portia thinks that Trina's so concerned about Kai's safety because she's already lost someone she cared about. Portia later tells Kai that the surgery is a bad idea, as some of the patients have wound up paralyzed, and only two have experienced success. Kai is determined to be the third.

I don't think Willow can make decisions about custody of the kids without Michael's input, but okay.

"Carly doesn't give a damn about me." You cheated on her son! How did you expect her to treat you??

Sooner or later – probably sooner – Drew is definitely going to try to get Willow to distance herself from Nina.

Diane could get anything about the car thrown out in court in five seconds solely based on the chain of custody. Sorry, Ava.

I hate to admit it but I think Brennan is right. Impressive, considering how little he knows about Willow and Drew.

Sonny would be wise to back down on the esplanade so Laura will owe him one. But agreeing to the referendum is also a good move.

April 15th, 2025

Alexis has decided to give in to Ava's demands instead of having Kristina committed. Diane thinks this is a horrible idea and warns that if the truth comes out, Alexis won't be able to protect Kristina. Alexis' argument is that committing Kristina will raise suspicions, especially from Molly, and she needs to hold on to the tentative peace coming back to her family. Ava's pleased with how things have turned out, and doubly pleased when Alexis gives her twice her initial request, since she doesn't really have another choice. Ric may actually feel a little bad about his and Ava's plans possibly ruining Molly and Kristina's relationship, so he must be pretty relieved when Ava lets him know that he's going to get his hush money. Elizabeth goes home from the hospital, but her homecoming is slightly ruined by the fact that Amy is providing her home care and no one wants to be around her. Though Lulu still seems to be on the fence about Lucky's methods of rekindling things with Elizabeth, she also thinks that he should be the one taking care of her. Trina tries one last time to get through to Kai about why he shouldn't have the surgery, but when he tells her he's doing it and asks for her support, she gives it. Josslyn has her work cut out for her, since the professor she's supposed to get in good with, Dalton, is much more impressed with Emma. Dante and Kristina talk about letting go of grudges and dealing with anger and blah blah blah, he's completely clueless about her crimes and she seems very okay with getting away with them. Brook, Gio, Chase, and Lois are filler.

"I know what I'm doing." Oh, Alexis, you so do not.

How long until Kristina inevitably finds the commitment papers?

I'm interested in what contrivance will lead someone to noticing problems with the Cassadines' funds, because at this point, no one's monitoring them.

Come on, Elizabeth doesn't need eight hours' worth of nursing care every day. They gave Amy the dumbest possible plot.

We could have had Daniel Goddard as Brennan! An actual Australian! Gah!

April 16th, 2025

Laura holds a press conference announcing the referendum, but Ezra basically commandeers it to confront her over her friendliness with Sonny. When she won't apologize for their connection or agree to take his property, Ezra asks Jordan for her opinion. Jordan starts out diplomatic, then decides to use the situation to her advantage. She states that since she and Laura don't see eye to eye on Sonny, she's resigning. Anna tries to defend Laura's friendship with Sonny, but when Jordan sticks to her decision, Anna believes that it was just the final straw for her. Curtis, however, is suspicious. Jordan's apologetic about springing the situation on Laura, but she wanted Laura to seem genuinely surprised. This leaves Laura in a bad position, and Drew wants to pounce on it by having Ezra oppose her in the next election, hopefully giving him someone in a position of power to puppeteer. But the good news is that as soon as Sidwell hears about Jordan's resignation, he jumps at the chance to talk to her again. Diane introduces Sonny and Jason to Marco and is appalled to learn that Marco is Sidwell's son. She's ready to fire him right away, but Sonny sees that keeping him around could benefit them. Plus, right now he's more concerned with the referendum and the possibility of losing his piers. He wants Diane to mount a defense, but she tells him that he has little to no chance of winning if the vote doesn't go his way. Instead, he should work on getting the voters to side with him. Elizabeth summons Lucas, and the two of them and Lucky are able to get rid of Amy together. Lucky volunteers to take care of Elizabeth in her place, which Elizabeth thinks is his effort to make up for past mistakes. Sidwell tries to smooth things over with Tracy, who wants nothing to do with him until he mentions that they have a common enemy: Sonny. He wants her to convince everyone else at Deception to get rid of Sonny in exchange for consistent pricing in the zinc deal. Tracy likes the idea, but she doesn't trust Sidwell, so she isn't convinced that she should team with him. Sonny and Jason both think that Sidwell sent Marco to Diane and Alexis' firm because of Sonny, despite Marco's denial. Jason warns that he's keeping an eye on Marco, then lets Lucas know that his new love interest is shady.

I love the pettiness of everyone pointedly calling Drew "Congressman Cain."

I also love how Ezra's mission to take down Laura worked so perfectly in Jordan's favor.

Thank you to Curtis for confirming that Sonny paid T.J.'s tuition. I was starting to think I was the only one who remembered that.

Please don't make us sit through a storyline about real estate.

April 17th, 2025

Rocco feels guilty that his mere existence is causing trouble for Sonny and Laura, and he decides it's better if Sonny doesn't come to his upcoming debate. Sonny graciously bows out, which Danny thinks is a good idea, considering all the social media posting that could make Rocco feel even worse. Dante worries about all the hatred that will be spewed at Sonny, especially right before he has heart surgery, but Sonny's heard most of it before and doesn't act like he'll be giving it much thought. Alexis confronts Marco for not disclosing who his father is, as if that's something that would normally come up during a job interview. Marco's justifiable defense is that Sidwell has never been convicted of a crime, unlike a couple of Alexis and Diane's clients. Also, he knows Alexis is a Cassadine and still deals with them despite not using their name, so she doesn't really have a leg to stand on here. Alexis accepts that and gives him advice based on experience: One day, Marco will likely have to choose between his family and the ethical restraints of his career. Lucas flees as soon as he learns Marco's paternity and tells Carly it could be a deal-breaker, though he's going to give it more thought beyond "ugh, the guy I like has a horrible father, so I can't associate with him." Carly admires him for not immediately using it as an excuse to distance himself from someone he could have a relationship with. Chase is feeling down again about not being able to give Brook a baby, so he wants to discuss family planning with her. They both agree that they don't want to use a donor and do IVF, so they'll opt for adoption. They also both agree that they would be fine with adopting an older child instead of a baby. Curtis questions Jordan's decision to resign, but she won't tell him anything, instead hinting that she's hiding something. Molly gets a flat tire conveniently close to the Quartermaines', and Cody happens to come by on a horse and offer her a ride. Lois can barely handle being in the same room as Gio and his long-lost family at Dante's birthday party, so when Lulu starts chatting with him about his past, she almost loses it. Felicia asks Carly to try to convince Sonny to accept whatever the referendum vote is. Carly reasonably wants to be left out of anything involving her ex's business. Felicia wants her to think about whether the town and Carly's family would be better off if Sonny got shut down.

I think everyone forgot that Avery is Dante's sister. She's the only person whose absence from the party wasn't explained.

So Diane and Alexis didn't look into Marco's client list and see that he worked for Sidwell? All of this is on them.

I assume someone came up with the idea of having Cody and Molly ride a horse together and then had to contrive a way to make it happen.

You're telling me Molly wasn't a horse girl as a kid?

LOL at Cody saying that Tracy probably named the horse Hades because it reminds her of home.

Yeah, I think Lulu's going to put together who Gio is. Why else hint at the significance of Gio being born in L.A. in front of her?

I want to see more Gio/Rocco interactions. They're brothers! Let's see them bond even before they find out!

I can't believe Lois has kept such major secrets for 21 years. She has no poker face at all.

If you thought Natalia couldn't sink any lower, you were wrong. When she tells Sidwell that keeping their past relationship secret ruined her friendship with Sonny, he reveals that he knows about their visit to a cardiologist. He tells Natalia that he'll help her smooth things over with Marco if she fills him in on Sonny's health issues. Natalia buys it and gives him what he wants. The new Deception product that uses Sidwell's zinc is a huge success, to Lucy, Maxie, and Brook's excitement. Jason brings down the latter two's moods by passing a message along from Sonny that Sidwell and Natalia used to be married. For some reason, this is grounds for terminating their deal with Sidwell, so Maxie asks Anna to find something that will prove that he violated the terms of their agreement. Anna convinces her and Brook to do nothing for now because if they alert Lucy to their plans, she could tip off Sidwell. In reality, Lucy is equally upset about Sidwell and Natalia keeping the secret. Jason learns from Maxie and Brook that Sasha helped convince everyone to work with Sidwell, despite what he did to her. He easily puts together that she accepted money in exchange for facilitating the business deal. Jordan rides her plan all the way to a COO position with Sidwell. Isaiah again objects, because he hasn't yet seen how capable she is of taking care of herself. Carly urges Sonny to let the city have his piers so he doesn't cause trouble for Laura. Sonny believes that backing down will make his enemies think he's weak. He tells Carly about his surgery, and she insists on going to L.A. with him. Sasha is hesitant to let Jason give Michael too much information on her pregnancy in case he decides that he wants to be more involved than they discussed. Olivia softens her by sharing a letter Tracy wrote her welcoming her and Leo to the family when Olivia and Ned got married. She tells Sasha that when the Quartermaines want you around, it's because they've determined that you're one of them. Josslyn spies on Dalton as he delivers a briefcase to a lab at the hospital. Anna and Felicia discuss the referendum and how important it is that Laura remain the mayor. Anna shares that Turner is using Emma against her because she thinks Anna gives Jason special treatment. Felicia's like, "I don't want to say she's right, so I'll just say that she's not wrong." Just when it looks like Josslyn and Emma are taking a step forward, Emma makes a remark that shows that she can't let go of their childhood rivalry. Though I guess she's justified in being grumpy, since she has to start her community service, and it involves getting messy with kids at the hospital.

Welp, that has to be the nail in Natalia's coffin. Let's get this moving.

Sonny could easily use the Sidwell/Natalia situation to his advantage. He can convince Lucy to reject Sidwell's offer to fund the Nurses' Ball, then swoop in and fund it himself, making himself look like a hero to the town.

Hold on. Lucy and Maxie all of them didn't have a problem hiring a bigot, and they didn't have a problem teaming with Sidwell, but they draw the line at Natalia not disclosing that she used to be married to Sidwell??

All Maxie and Brook have to do to deal with Sidwell is tell Tracy everything. First she'll say, "I told you so," and then she'll get them out of any agreement they have.

The solution isn't Sonny skipping the debate so he and Laura aren't photographed together. It's having Rocco ask the school not to let in the press.

Sonny's going to regret not backing Laura when he finds out that Ezra wants to steal her office.

I'm so confused. I thought Sasha was moving out.

Emma's pretty snooty about Josslyn having a rich father when her dad is a literal brain surgeon.

April 21st, 2025

Maxie, Brook, and Lucy don't have any proof that Sidwell has done anything illegal, and they're hesitant to distance themselves from him because where else are they going to get the zinc they need to make tons of money? They decide that Sidwell is a "necessary evil," but since Natalia lied (and has stupid reasons to back up why she did), she's out. Natalia immediately whines to Marco about how Sidwell ruined her life and Sonny didn't show any loyalty, because if anyone should be talking about loyalty, it's Natalia freaking Ramirez. Carly comes up with a plausible reason for her and Sonny to go to L.A. together, so he can't really argue against her going with him. She's hurt that Jason didn't tell her about Sonny's health, but he says he wanted her to have her own life, especially after the Sonny/Nina fiasco. He's glad that she's going to L.A., since he knows Sonny will need more care than he thinks. The topic turns to Natalia, and Jason and Carly figure it's best to assume that she told Sidwell about Sonny's heart condition. Marco tells Lucas that he and Sidwell were estranged for most of his childhood after his parents split when he was little. After his falling-out with Natalia over his sexuality, Marco got in touch with Sidwell, who accepted him and paid his college and law school tuition. Marco isn't aware of anything illegal Sidwell is done, and he doesn't want to know any incriminating details. Lucas is convinced, and considering his relationship with his own biological father, he has no place to judge. Jordan has decided to ditch Isaiah altogether so she can focus on taking down Sidwell. Isaiah thinks she's in over her head, but he also accepts that he's not going to change her mind. Jordan tells Anna what she's up to and gets the support she's looking for, as Anna's happy both to have a woman on the inside and that that woman is Jordan. Josslyn and Emma finally work through their childhood issues when they admit that they envied each other as kids. Emma still has some resentment, since Josslyn jumped the waiting list to get into Dalton's class. Josslyn is able to honestly say that she doesn't know how she got into the class, and she's going to work for everything she gets from it. Emma chalks up her admission to Jax's money. Sasha justifies taking Sidwell's money by saying that she doesn't want charity from her friends or family, and it's compensation for what Sidwell did to her. She also sticks to blaming Holly for everything that happened. Sidwell bugs Alexis about not officially hiring Marco because he didn't disclose who his father is. He swears that Marco has never been involved in anything illegal and claims that he didn't know Marco wanted to join the firm that just happens to be run by Sonny and Jason's lawyers.

Excuse me while I throw up over Natalia claiming that Sonny has no loyalty after she told Sidwell his biggest secret.

"Should we distance ourselves from him?" Why wouldn't you? You're mad at Natalia for lying about their past relationship! Why would you keep working with him?? Oh, right, money. Brook and Maxie have very flexible ethics, apparently.

No, don't take away the fun sneaking-around relationship! Booooo!

Josslyn should be thrilled that Emma believes that Jax got her into their class. It's a reasonable explanation and as long as everyone buys it, Josslyn's off the hook for having to answer questions.

April 22nd, 2025

Diane tries to convince Alexis to have Kristina committed, thinking they can find a way to keep Molly from finding out the reason. Alexis won't do it, and she focuses on the Ric aspect of the situation, since Diane figures it's only a matter of time before he puts things together. Alexis soon realizes that he already has, and she begs him not to tell Molly anything. He agrees to keep quiet, satisfied with the fact that Alexis is embezzling from a child to keep everything in order. Nina alerts Carly that Drew has been communicating with a real estate agent in D.C., which means Willow and the kids could move there at any time. Carly wants Nina to step things up in their alliance, but Nina thinks Carly's being too aggressive. Carly agrees to do things Nina's way, then immediately calls Diane to discuss wrestling custody away from Willow. Willow's scared that Carly will manage to take her kids from her, so she turns to Jason for help. He advises her to shut out the voices of everyone who's telling her what to do and make the best decisions for herself and the kids. He also urges her to go to Germany and work things out with Michael directly. Drew quickly gets the ball rolling on Kai's surgery, as well as suggesting that Kai work with a filmmaker to document his journey. Portia learns that things are moving forward and confronts Drew for his influence. Drew threatens to tell Curtis what she's been keeping from him, since the blackmail isn't serving him anymore. When Curtis shows up, Portia can honestly say that she came to yell at Drew about Kai's surgery. Curtis is so pleased that they're still on the same side that he doesn't question it. Trina confides to Curtis her worries about Kai and how determined he is to have the surgery. Curtis tells her she only has one choice: She needs to be supportive. Trina decides to try to change her attitude and give Kai what he needs. Kristina's guilt over the car accident is eating at her, and she tells Lucky she wants to confess. He helps her understand that that won't help anything, and she decides it's better to let herself be punished by her guilt than destroy her family. Ava celebrates her successful extortion plot with a shopping spree that Ric quickly shuts down.

Interesting that Diane and Alexis didn't suspect that Ava told Ric what Kristina did.

I think Alexis is going to regret not shedding the commitment papers herself.

I agree with Nina that Carly won't be able to get Willow to lose custody of the kids, but she should be able to prevent Willow from getting full custody and/or moving to D.C.

It's probably too much to hope for but how great would it be if Jason's advice to Willow led to her and Michael working things out and heading off a big custody battle?

When everything inevitably comes out, I wonder how Elizabeth will feel about Lucky keeping something so big from her.

April 23rd, 2025

Drew is unsurprisingly hesitant about supporting Willow's decision to go to Germany to see Michael (and also unsurprisingly tries to invite himself along). Willow is fully invested in Jason's advice to shut out everyone else's opinions and sort things out with only Michael. Tracy may despise Ezra but she also appreciates his disdain of Sonny, so she's up for working together to get rid of him. Tracy's apologetic about it with Laura, but also not really, because she thinks Laura is wrong to maintain a friendship with Sonny. Laura warns that taking Sonny down will leave an opening that someone worse could fill, and she suspects that Sidwell wants to be that someone. Tracy's somehow still okay with Deception's partnership with him, and she's willing to take a risk if it means no more Sonny. Nina and Portia commiserate over their Drew problems and how Willow and Kai can't see the kind of person he really is. Nina decides that they need to plant some sort of trap that exposes him. She gets an idea for what that trap should be when they spot Ezra chatting with a woman named Jacinda, who Nina remembers having to have kicked out of the Metro Court in the past because she's an escort. Carly tells Jason that Diane is moving forward with the plan to help Michael take custody away from Willow. Jason urges her to let Michael and Willow work things out on their own. Carly thinks that Michael is still in love with Willow and won't mount a good defense against her. Brook and Chase tell Lois that they're going to get the adoption process started, and they'd like to use the agency Lois used for Brook's child. Lois gets saved from that conversation when Ned comes in, which allows her to sneak off and call Gloria for advice. She ends up telling Brook and Chase that the agency she used closed years ago. Dante helps Lulu move into her new house and celebrates with her when she gets a freelance gig with a paper in Llanview.

Willow only knows Michael's condition via Carly? She can't pick up a phone and call the clinic herself? She's his medical proxy – how are they making decisions without her input and knowledge of how he's doing? Not to mention how hearless Willow is for not calling to get updates.

Lois lied about NUNS? Yikes. And how was she unable to come up with a lie on her own about the agency she used closing?

Again I ask: Who's paying for Lulu's house?

(After looking up the Banner and seeing that its rival publication, the Sun, is run by Todd) Lulu should write an article about how Todd sucks.

April 24th, 2025

Kristina volunteers to look after Donna while Sonny and Carly are both in L.A. This basically just drives home for Alexis how important she is to her family and how hard she's trying to make better decisions. Diane approaches Ric to get approval for a summer trip Sonny wants to take with Avery. She uses the opportunity to ask him to go easier on Alexis, if only because it's decent human behavior. Ric easily figures out that it's really because Diane knows about everything that happened with Kristina. A contrivance with two knocked-over bags and some mixed-up files ends with Kristina's papers falling into Molly's lap. Lulu's writing a piece about adoption, so she interviews Lucas, as he has experience as both an adoptee and an adoptive parent. He's very open about all of it, including the fact that he doesn't have any negative feelings about Julian coming into his life, even though things went poorly. When Brook hears about the piece, she races to confront Lulu, suspecting that she has ulterior motives for writing about adoption. She probably does, as she has a list of the few facts she knows about Brook and Dante's child. Jason invites Danny to open up about his feelings about how many things in his life have changed, knowing that, like his father, he's more inclined to keep that stuff to himself. Danny admits to being bummed that he, Rocco, and Scout have been split up, though he's happy that Rocco gets to be with his mother again. He reminds Jason of how Sam didn't want them spending time together when Jason came back, likely because she was afraid that he was going to leave again. Jason promises he's not going anywhere, and Danny expresses his gratitude that, even though he has plenty of other people to take care of him, his father is stepping up. Dante and Jason get Danny and Rocco together for an outing at a batting cage and agree that they need to help them keep their connection with each other. Molly's not thrilled that the only other person in town who can even tolerate Ric is Ava, and that they've become friends. Ric worries that she won't accept that Ava's part of his life, but Molly doesn't intend to give him any ultimatums. She just wants him to rethink whether that friendship is a good idea. Despite their numerous struggles over the years, Carly demonstrates that she still really cares about Sonny and wants his surgery to go well. Brick assures him that there's a top-notch security team in place, so he has nothing to worry about. Cody takes a trip to the hospital after getting kicked by a horse, which isn't going to go very far to change Molly's opinion of them. After Marco agrees not to represent Sonny or Jason if there's any conflict of interest due to his being Sidwell's son, Alexis and Diane officially hire him. He accidentally gets a glimpse of Kristina's commitment papers, but Diane swears him to secrecy.

I can't believe Alexis' life is going to blow up because of Diane, of all people.

Yeah, I don't like all the recent Julian talk.

"Ava and I have an understanding." Is that what the kids are calling it these days?

I can't decide which was sweeter: Jason trying to get Danny to talk about his feelings, Rocco telling Lulu how much he loves having her back, or Dante and Jason arranging for their kids to hang out.

Heh, Sonny can only think about three of his children because if he thought of any more, the show would have to pay them residuals.

Since they showed Mike's picture in one of Sonny's flashbacks, I predict that Sonny will have a near-death experience (or at least a dream) involving him.

April 25th, 2025

Molly takes the commitment papers to Kristina, both of them confused about why Alexis would want to file them now. Kristina's glad that Molly came to her first, since normally she would team up with Alexis to oppose her. The two of them go to Alexis together to confront her. Willow goes to Germany only to be told that Michael doesn't want to talk to her. She's upset that he wants nothing to do with her and is treating her in a way Drew never would. It turns out that Michael doesn't know anything about the visit at all – Drew paid an employee to lie to Willow and send her away. Nina's plan is to hire Jacinda to seduce and drug Drew, then arrange for Willow to find them together. There will also be photos that Portia can use to get out from under Drew's thumb. Jacinda's hesitant to sign on without extra money, which makes Nina and Portia reconsider things. But when Willow calls to tell Nina that Michael won't see her, Nina solidifies the deal. Sonny's surgery went great and he's going to be fine, except for the little fact that his nurse wants to kill him. Lulu denies that her article has anything to do with Brook or her and Dante's child. They fight over the possible consequences of Dante finding out about the child, each saying the other would be to blame if Dante blew up his life. Dante shows up in the middle of the argument and Brook has to spill that she and Chase are considering adoption, so the article feels personal to her. Lulu gets to be completely honest when she says she had no idea, and now Brook looks a little unhinged. Sidwell takes Jordan with him to a meeting with Drew, where the three agree to work together to take down Sonny. Jordan warns Drew not to drag Laura into things, since she has a high approval rating and going after her will just make him look bad. Drew decides to leave all the mudslinging to Ezra. Ava asks Alexis for more money, because I guess she already blew through her first payment. Alexis tries to call her bluff, not completely sure that Ava will really turn on Kristina, but Ava reminds Alexis that of the two of them, Alexis isn't the one with the power, so Ava's the one who walks away $150,000 richer. Marco is apologetic toward Alexis for the problems Natalia has caused for her family. In related news, Marco needs something to do. Carly and Brick are filler.

Ooh, if only Alexis hadn't dated those papers. She could have gotten away with saying they were from last year.

Like Kristina, I'm also surprised that Molly went to her instead of Alexis, but for different reasons. Why not get information from Alexis before getting Kristina involved?

I'm waiting for Carly to call Donna, and for Donna to say, "Kristina went somewhere, but don't worry, some guy named Cody is watching me." And then Cody collapses because he didn't see a doctor and doesn't know he has internal bleeding.

Nina, your plan is stupid. Drew will tell Willow that he doesn't remember what happened, she'll believe him, and they'll put together that he was set up.

Yes, Brook, Lulu's writing an article for a newspaper in another state just to mess with you.

Interesting that Brook thinks that if Dante finds out about their child, she and Lulu won't be able to convince Dante not to try to find him.

April 28th, 2025

Brick catches the nurse as she's about to inject Sonny with something and ends up killing her. He calls Brennan to clean things up, and Carly's delighted to learn that he was already on his way there, just in case she needed him. Oblivious about the attempt on his life, Sonny dreams about Mike. He admits that he's looking for a way out of the mob, and has been since the bombing. Mike feels bad that his decisions led Sonny to this life, and he's proud that Sonny has made his family his priority. Alexis is able to come up with enough of an explanation to keep Kristina from realizing that she knows what Kristina did and Molly from figuring out anything. Both of them are mad at her, but on the plus side, they're closer than ever. In a meeting that definitely could have been a phone call, Vaughn tasks Josslyn with observing Dalton while he's out for the night at the Savoy. Mostly, he wants to know what interests Dalton. Right now, that's Emma, as Dalton makes a beeline for her when he sees her at the club. She's working toward fulfilling the qualifications to be his research assistant, and he seems to be pulling for her. After she leaves, he strikes up a conversation with Anna. Jordan gives Curtis the heads up that she's mending fences with Drew so the two of them and Sidwell can work together. Curtis still doesn't know the extent of what she's up to, but he seems to get that she has a plan and isn't really on Drew and Sidwell's side. Tracy tries to open Gio's eyes to Sonny's true nature, but Gio thinks his good deeds outweigh anything bad he's done. He asks Emma to come over and help him change Tracy's mind. Trina continues supporting Kai by going on a pre-surgery date. He feels bad for asking Curtis' advice and then not taking it, but Curtis admires him for thinking for himself. Brad gives Portia all of Drew's medical files, then complains when she gives him a new assignment: Acquire some ketamine.

Hey, Brennan, maybe don't use the phrase "pull the trigger" after Brick had to shoot someone.

I think Josslyn's storyline would be more interesting if it were Emma's. Imagine her having to work for the WSB without letting her former-WSB-agent grandmother find out.

Am I supposed to be rooting for Josslyn and Vaughn to get together? He pretended to attack her, and he clearly enjoyed it. That's gross.

I kind of want Anna and Dalton to hook up, if only for Emma's reaction.

April 29th, 2025

Drew has a new angle for Portia to work with Curtis: Get him to generate negative press about Sonny. If Portia didn't already want to shut Drew down, this would be even more motivation, so she's eager to get things rolling when Nina lets her know that Jacinda is ready to go. Jacinda slips ketamine into Drew's drink at the Grille, then easily talks him into going to the Savoy with her. A dozen people he knows are there, and they're shocked when he shows up seemingly drunk. Jordan's the only one who tries to intervene (and only because the optics are bad for the Jordan/Drew/Sidwell partnership) when he buys shots for everyone and gets excited about doing body shots with Jacinda. Lulu seizes the opportunity for a huge story and takes pictures. Anna clearly has no desire to talk to Dalton, who doesn't catch on and tries to get her to agree to a date. She blows him off and meets up with Emma, curious about the fact that she and Dalton both transferred to PCU from the Bay Area. Emma claims it's a coincidence, but a happy one, since she was never able to get into one of Dalton's classes at her old school. Tracy decides that the enemy of her enemy is her friend, so she and Drew should team up to take down Sonny. He wants the Quartermaine name back in exchange, and Tracy's so determined to get what she wants, she agrees. Lucas and Marco get to know each other better, talking about their families and their coming-out experiences. Despite Marco's closeness with Sidwell and his gratitude that his father has fully accepted him while his mother hasn't, Lucas is still interested. Jason shows up while Tracy's trying to get through to Gio about Sonny, and she advises him to tell Gio what Sonny did to A.J. Gio refuses to believe what happened, even when Jason says that Sonny killed A.J. to save Ava. Jason advises him to form his own opinion instead of letting Tracy influence him. Curtis is pretty sure now that Jordan is doing an undercover job, and he hopes she gets how much bigger the scale is here than what she's used to. Jordan remains unworried. Josslyn gets some face time with Dalton, who breaks it to her that her chances of getting the summer research job are pretty slim. Lulu tells Cody about her adoption story, and he confides that he gets down sometimes about all the time he and Mac lost with each other. This, of course, makes Lulu think about Dante and Gio. Lucy and Sidwell are filler.

Everyone's faces at the Savoy were priceless, especially Lucas'.

Interesting that no one mentioned that, beyond apparently being drunk, Drew was hanging out with a woman who wasn't Willow.

Here's an observation for you, Josslyn: Dalton doesn't get hints.

Gio should talk to Dante about Sonny (and not just because I want them to have more scenes together). Dante's the one with the biggest gulf between loving Sonny and having to accept what he does.

Josslyn mouthing "he's hot" at Lucas was yet another nod to how alike she and Carly are.

"It's not whether I can handle Sidwell – it's whether Sidwell can handle me." Yes, Jordan, YES!

April 30th, 2025

Overnight, Drew's behavior at the Savoy turns into a full-fledged scandal, and reporters are eager to learn more. Willow comes home to what Jacinda has set up to look like the aftermath of a one-night stand. Laura doesn't plan to go after Drew for his behavior, since she doesn't think piling on is a good look. Not that she won't enjoy knowing that he made a fool of himself in public and facilitated his own downfall. Curtis is practically gleeful about it, as is Portia, who doesn't even have to convince her husband that Drew brought everything on himself. Nina, however, feels a little bad, if only because Willow's going to suffer in the fallout. But on the bright side, Nina's going to get what she wanted from the situation, and Willow totally believes that Drew got drunk and hooked up with an escort. Alexis believes it, too, so she's taking Scout until Drew pulls himself together. Trina surprises Kai by clearing her day so she can be around during his surgery. He asks her to participate in the documentary about him, warning that she'll be billed as his girlfriend. She's not thrilled about the documentary, but she likes the girlfriend part. Jason goes to L.A. to get out ahead of any other security issues that might arise. Carly is understandably worried and wants to stick around, but Sonny convinces her to go home to Donna. That gives her an excuse to spend time with Brennan on the flight home, so she can't really put up too much of a fight. Brennan tells Jason that Sonny's would-be killer was well-known as a hitwoman in the intelligence community. Jason figures that assassins will keep coming, which means it's time to increase security. Sonny shares his thought that it's actually time to get out of the mob. Lulu asks Laura about her experience being adopted, though technically Laura was never formally adopted; she was switched at birth and didn't find out until she was a teenager. Laura talks about how fortunate she was to have two wonderful mothers, and how, though her life might have been simpler if she'd never learned the truth about her paternity, she can't be sad about how things worked out.

Jacinda is definitely the MVP of this Drew fiasco. She played every beat perfectly.

Really, Nina and Portia could have hired anyone for their plan, but hiring an escort was brilliant. It makes him look even worse.

I'm surprised that Drew didn't fight Alexis about taking Scout. I don't think his head is clear yet.

They went for a deep cut with Laura today.

Okay, so, we get it. Every interview Lulu does is going to make her feel even more strongly that Dante should know about Gio. We can skip ahead now.
